Everyone thinks that I have it all... But it's so empty living behind these castle walls... ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫
Drew, the poor creature who saw herself only as she wanted others to see her. Who became, quite quickly, a very cocky, self-involved fighter. How could she not, when she let others get to her, they always destroyed her. Always.
Poor Drew, who didn't even know she was poor at all. No one did. Oh but she will, they will. Eventually it'll come back to get her. All she wants is to love and to be loved in return and yet she refuses to admit that, nor pursue it. In fact she keeps herself so entirely bottled up that it would be amazing for anyone to even love her at all.
Love, how overused the word was in Drew's head. She was such a lonely bitch. Especially now. The fire scared the African Serval in her and caused her to run for miles, literally disabling her from stopping herself... and going to what was supposed to be her home.
Home. What a vague word. For it didn't feel anything like home at all. How could it? Drew was nothing to anyone there, not even her brother. Her big, bad, famous alpha brother. She put so much effort into scornfully tasting him that she never stopped to realize just how important Crudelis really was to her. Whether she had been there for only a week or maybe 10 years, she had made more friends, more of an impact, there rather than anywhere else.
Sadly she was lost now, completely cut off from her brother... cut off from the beautiful girls she met in the tribe. Oh how she secretly longed for them. It was disheartening, really. But again, she would never admit it.
Drew didn't know what to do with herself. And much to her disappointment these woods were just as empty as the rest. But she kept trotting, in Serval form now- to quicken her already slow pacing- deeper into the trees. Somehow it felt right. Something was drawing her closer this way, and she didn't quite notice it yet. But someone was waiting.

Arien was back where he belonged, it would seem. After his frequent travels into the tribe territory's, he'd had his share of exitement for now and was ready to put his feet up and relax. He'd left Legacy at a river where she'd been mesmerized by the flashing silver of fish scales. With her young, inbred impatience, it would be an actual miracle if she managed to catch any. But he had been willing to give the wolf the benefit of the doubt and go on without her. When her stubborn attitude had been eroded away by hunger, she'd be back.
Now the pale boy was lounging atop a rock, white hair blazing out in the gloom like a beacon. On a few occaisions, he had considered simply dyeing it, but had always changed his mind. If the God's created him to look like this, who was he to change it? But still, sometimes he loathed how very much he stood out, it made it very hard to hunt as well. But he had managed to adapt and live through it, credit to his character, perhaps.
But now his senses, always on cautious alert due to the animal within, were alerting him to a coming prescence. His mind buzzed with thoughts and possible escape routs as his instincts took over.
Threat Threat Run
His human side pushed down his animal instincts, far too human curiosity winning out. He would see who this person was, traisping through the forest. If the need arose, he'd be out of there in a flash. The person, whoever they were, was already heading in his direction. The wind was in their favour, he didn't doubt they'd smell him before long. He didn't have to do anything, just wait and watch to see who emerged from the shadows. Lounging back on his rock, the white haired boy stared with absolute patience, it was in his blood.

Penny Arndt, a blonde chick with spearment green eyes and also a maned wolf, a fox with long legs, walked along the shore. She was glad to be in human form. Her waved blonde hair swung side to side as the walked the shore of a near by lake. She had a long orange fox tail that protruded from her hindside, and orange ears with white tips pricked listening to every sound and detail. Her spearment green eyes scanned the area as she heard a pant. She walked forward farther and a cold breeze swept across the valley. It brushed back some of the stray hair of Penny's face. She shivered and wished she had the fur of her animal half. She'd seen some fire in some other place she'd seen people running from. It warmed her up a bit those few days but now that was over. Penny walked forward farther and noticed a black wolf sitting impatiantly at the shoreline. must be fish in this lake She walked forward and stepped from the shadow of a tree she had happen to walk under. Suddenly she stopped in her tracks. She sniffed the air and caught scent of something musky. Or was it dogish? She honestly had no idea and continued forward cautiously. Taking a few more steps forward she flicked her long tail and the black tip on the end waggled back and forth. She reached behind her and grabbed her tail. She smoothed down the fur and held it in front of her. After a few moments she noticed someting. A rock. Somebody on top of the rock. Hello? It wasn't much of a question but at least she would see who was on the rock.

Seconds ago, it seemed, that she was the only living creature for miles around here. But now, her gigantic Serval ears were perked and listening closely. She stopped moving, completely. Her stance as frozen as the winter air. Her silent pause allowed her to look around in silence, look at listen.
Footsteps, and a slight shuffle onto stone. Two separate species, not just one. These were not small animals. They were large, seemingly human- if that's what you would call her breed.
This couldn't be ignored. It was the first sound of civilization that she had come across in months. Just as she was about to move, make herself of greater notice, there was a whisper of hello. A soft, hesitant sound. A sound so beautiful to voiceless ears- a human's voice. The first of few in such a long period of time.
And yet she did not shift into human herself. She stayed Serval, for she felt more protected that way. And also, selfishly, quite warmer in this god-awful weather. Instead of responding, though she yipped loudly.
Remembering that there was not one- but two- creatures out here today, it crossed her mind to be very careful. Nothing else had responded toward the unknown female voice, so either it was scared too, or a threat.
Drew remained alert, cautious.

Ooc: I have no idea what a maned wolf sounds like.... :/
Penny's blonde ponytail whipped around as she turned around to the sound of a wild animal. She let out a cross between a wolfs growl and a foxes yip. Her ears twisted this way and that trying to pick up a second sound. She heard breathing. Human breathing. But it didn't come from the figure on the rock. It sounded farther away and female. Penny shifted down and used her nose to smell the figure behind or rather in front of her. Unsure of what to do she took a few steps this way then a few that. She was lost on trying to find the scent of somebody or something. This stupid breeze doesn't help me at all! Penny growled and slashed the ground in anger with her long legs. A puff of white dirt came up covering her black paws a grey musty color. She warily looked around her tail swishing the ground. Is anyone out there? Penny called out stronger and louder than before. She had no idea if anybody else was here but she was determined to fine out.

And on on on we go… loved what we had but now it’s gone let’s leave before we eat each other alive… center]♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫ ♫
When the voice broke the silence again, splitting the cold air in half, Drew allowed herself to put her guard down. However, all senses were still on alert. The voice that spoke asked a simple question, was anyone out here? Well clearly yes, someone was out here. She was out here. Of course, she said nothing.
Drew was so very unsociable, she had a hatred towards people. Everyone really. Why? Why would someone possibly hate people? People hurt you. People love you, but they break you. People make you insecure, people judge you and drive you to do things that you wouldn't have done before. People corrupt you. People build you, but people destroy you.
Drew enjoyed her solitary life at the moment, away from her tribe. Maybe the fire was a blessing. Maybe she was meant to live as a loner.
There was only one unfortunate problem with being alone. You are left with your own thoughts. And thoughts destroy you just as much as the people, because people create your thoughts. Your thoughts, create people.
Drew was bitter, constantly bitter. The only person she had ever let herself love destroyed her, cheated on her because of an over- consumption of alcohol... with a man none the less. She had no such hatred over men, no more than she did over women. She hated everyone equally. And the simple thought of speaking with another human right now was nauseating.
Therefore, she stayed in Serval form to answer the question that was-somewhat- directed towards her.
"Yes, I am here."
She spoke in her raspy, Serval voice. Her eyes scanning for a culprit of the asking.
Drew recalled how the voice sounded a bit surprised, as if it wasn't expecting an yip from her, but someone else. Was somebody else out here, too?

First there was one, now there was two. Why where these people popping out of the ground like moles. He leapt to his feet, flight or fight reflex going nuts. Perhaps he was overreacting slightly, but without human contact for months, he wasn't exactly an ex[ert in conversations.
Run Threat Fight PACK
Shoving the instincts down with an exasperated sigh, Arien calmed himself, willing his body to still. Standing like a statue, his light eyes took in the situation, as two girls emerged from either side. Not a threat, not that he could see. A serval, female and able to shift, then another girl with hair like spun gold. That one had spoken first, to him no less, but it seemed her attention had quickly shifted away. Good, less attention was good. Yes.
Shoving his pale hands into the pockets of his grey jeans, Arien cocked his head. Although the serval replied, she didn't seem too extatic to be here. Here here, or just here, he couldn't tell. Was it the company or the location that bothered her so? Perhaps it was something deeper. Settling into an easy grin and putting his discomfort aside, Arien spoke to the cat.
"If it's any consolation, I'm here too." Probably wouldn't help, might even serve just to confuse her. At the very least he had spoken, his voice soft and lilting as always, making it sound like he was singing rather than speaking. It was a very unmanly trait he couldn't rid himself off.

Penny froze once more. Her ears pricked listening to the different sounds of the humans. Slowly she walked out farther into the clearing. She heard the voice of a female. And she was quite sure of it. The next a male. The one sitting on the rock. Penny looked around for the wolf that had disapeared near the lakebed. Not seeing it she flicked her ears back and forth side to side confused where the female was. Before seeing the pale boy with frightining white hair and electric blue eyes she shied back into the shadows unsure if this was a good idea. Quickly she scurried up a tree and looked around. She couldn't see anybody other then that boy. "Who are you two then?" Her voice rang out shakily. She had frequent flashbacks of her past life with Lincoln, Logan, Nathan, and Dustin. This boy looked exactly like Lincoln. But it couldn't be him... he died a long time ago didn't he? Penny jumped from the tree and landed a little to hard to the ground. Lincoln? Is that really you? She called to the boy. It looked nearly like him. Except the brightness of eyes. But it had to be him. Was it him? And the female she still didn't see although she had a pretty good idea of who she was.
