Through the forest, a sleek beagle trotted. Her head held high with bright eyes scanning left and right for any sign of danger. Around her neck, a red collar hung, jangling quietly due to a tag attached to it, signalling that the dog belonged to someone, and also that the dogs name was 'Legacy', as it indicated on the tag.
Just inside the collar, sleeping in the small space between Legacy's neck and the band of material, a small, white mouse lay curled up in sleep. He was invisible to anyone walking past, as he was completely hidden by collar and fur. So really, it looked just like a lost dog walking alone in the forest.

Katrina silently flew behind them. Yes being a white raven wasn't as nice as she liked at least she could fly. Soon after flying behind them she slowly came up behind the beagle and began to creap up on it. She was soon neck and neck with it and was flying ahead of them. As she got up farther and farther ahead she stopped and shifted back to a human. She stood in front of the beagle. It might jump into her arms or swerve beside her but either way she had crazy fast reflexes. She would easily catch the dog without being bowled over.
"Hey slow down dog!" She called as the dog came into sight.

Legacy ignored the girl, turning a complete 90 degree angle and walking off to the left, hopefully where something more interesting lay. A quiet voice however, stopped her in her tracks and made her swivel her head around back to the weird girl. "Easy Legacy, stop for a moment. I want to meet this girl."
It was Arien's voice that spoke to her, after being awoken from his nap by the sound of a girls voice. He remained in mouse form, and he was still completely hidden. So it seemed like the dog was talking to herself as she stared at Katrina.

Katrina studdied the dog as it spoke. She noticed a white ball of fur sitting in his coller. Her raven instints kicked in and she just about jumped onto the dog trying to get to the mouse, but instead she took a deep breath and reached down to pick up the mouse.
"Hello mouse. Who are you?" She asked to the mouse as she held it out so she could see it.
Katrina kept her wings tucked close and her hair smoothed out. She ran a hand through her hair as an instant reflex.

The mouse squeaked, twitching an ear. It sat up in the girl's palm and watched her with inquisitive bright blue eyes, but it did not speak.
The dog growled, angry at having being leapt on, and pissed off the the girl had been god-moddin in RP and somehow stoled her master off of her even though he was clearly hidden and never once agreed to being taken.

Ooc: I did not leap on the dog. Instead I reached down and grabbed you.
"Oh did I scare you? I'm sorry. I honestly didn't mean to." She appolgized with her silky voice.
Katrina looked down at the beagle and she kneeled down by him. Kat pet his head and gently ruffled his ears. She sat the mouse in her pocket on her sweat shirt as her baby horse trotted up to her. She kissed her horse's nose and hugged it.
"Legacy huh? I like that name." She said gently petting him.
Kat stuck her hand in her pocket letting the mouse crawl onto her hand. After it did she put the mouse down on the ground incase it really was a human as a mouse. She detected something human to it but it was very hard to see and yet she didn't always know the answer to everything.

Ooc: Never once complained about leaping on the dog, I said that you could not possibly grab Arien when I did not agree to it, as I had clearly written: another thing in this recent post would be: Keep in mind that I never once said that I crawled on to your hand, or even agreed to be put into your pocket. Also, Legacy is a girl and never agreed to be pet, if you tried she would probably bite your hand off.] Pissed off after being controlled by such a demeaning and dominating girl, Arien switched back to his human form mid-leap then turned on his heel to glare at her, not speaking.
Legacy, the female dog, padded over to his side and licked the tips of his fingers gently, her tail wagging, but she kept a good distance away from the girl.
"I don't like to be touched."

Ooc: well I'm sorry!!! "Well okay. Geez. Sometimes I'm a bit over friendly but I'm sorry." Kat turned her gazed to the dog and spoke, "I'm sorry for calling you a boy."
Katrina took a final glance before turning and walking away. Once again she had annoyed and pissed somebody off before she had even met him. Kat whistled for her full grown mare and waited for her to appear. As her strawberry roan appaloosa appeared she pulled a carrot out of her pocket and offered it to the horse. The horse, Lily, gently lipped up the carrot and nudged her butt telling her she could get on.
"Not now, not yet." She nickered to the horse.
Katrina took a final glance at the boy and neighed for the filly. Of couse she spent every minute with the horses so she spoke fluent horse language. The filly picked up its head and trotted over to her. She put a halter on the filly and clipped a lead rope onto Missy's halter.
"Good bye. I'm sorry about what happened. Really I didn't mean it." She appologized her turqouise eyes filled with sorrow.
Kat swiftly leapt onto the mare, Lily, and the mare trotted forward before stopping to nicker to the filly following behind her. The filly ran after her and followed Kat and Lily. Kat turned and looked at the boy.
"I'm sorry. Please forgive me." She called.
The mare set her head down and started to graze while the filly grazed as well

Ooc: Relax, didn't mean to offend anyone. Just giving tips. Arien groaned and slumped back against the tree, twitching his fingers to becon Legacy who immediately came to sit by his side.
"Really screwed that one up didn't we girl? I've never been good with talking, but that was pathetic."
He pursed his lips and absently scratched Legacy's head as he turned his head to the direction in which the girl had dissapeared off into.
"You recon she'll come back?"

Ooc: thanks though. I kinda need help if you noticed XD
Kat had many thoughs running through her head. She didn't know what to do! Before she know it they were running down the morest with her golden filly close behind. She slowly stopped the mare and Lily told her she was sorry for net being there sooner. Katrina nodded and shifed her weight to the back, signalling to the horse to stop. Using her left leg she swung the horse around and Lily trotted back to the boy. She made Lily stop short behind a tree and she slid off. She peeked around the tree looking at him He was now slumped against the tree and was stroking the dog.
"Lily, stay here with Missy." She nickered and tied missy's rope to Lily's neck.
She walked over to the boy and stood in front of him, but yet still far enough away to be out of reach. She extended her wings out for streching and tucked them neatly behind her again.
"Do you think we could chat? Or at least get each others name?" She asked with her angel-like voice.
Katrina whistled for the mare and filly and they both walked up to her. Lily rubbed her head on Katrina's back and Missy nudged her leg pushing her closer by a half step. Kat took a few steps back and stuck one arm over Lilys head and grabbed a carrot for Missy to munch on. Missy took the carrot and layed down to eat the carrot. Lily gently layed down but was poised and ready move if signaled.
"Good girls." She nickered to the 2.
As she spoke a small neigh rang through the woods practically behind where they were standing. She remembered that she had yet a third horse, a colt, and she nickered to it. As she spoke to it it ran over to her and just about bowled her over. She held him close as he shivered and trembled.
"Artemis calm down. Come lay by Lily and your sister." She nickered.
He glansed at them and tucked himself in between his sister and his adopted mom.
"Sorry. My horses are quite interesting. The golden one is Missy, The strawberry roan one I've been riding is Lily, and this black one is Artemis." She said pointing to each one in turn.

Arien looked up cautiously at the sound of the girls' return, not imagining any other reason apart from attacking him after his rude display. He was tense when she appeared and flinched slightly when another horse appeared.
He relaxed visible and let out a sigh when she only asked for his name. Names were far from harmless, but there were much worse things that she could have asked. Looking up at her, he blinked his electric blue eyes slowly before giving a slow smile. "My name is Arien."

Katr"Don't look so scared. I only have like seven more horses around here. They probably around somewhere." She said giving a large smile.
Katrina smiled and twisted her hair around her finger. She stroked the mare beside her and she relaxed.
"I'm Katrina Moon Kimberly Studdy. You can call me Kat if you want." She said her turqoise eyes sparkling.
Katrina looked towards the woods where the rest of her horses were. If she was lucky there would be eight but any of her horses at her house.
"Are you from a tribe?" She asked her eyes filled with inquisitive.

Huh.....the girl spoke. Odd. "I'm not scared of animals," he spoke quietly, with a soft laugh. "I have a dog remember?" He eyed Katrina curiously at her lengthy and somewhat complicated name, but didn't move any closer or any further away, as his insticts felt he should.
Shaking his head a little, Arien smiled. "Me? No. How about you?"

She put a long white hand to her mouth and giggled. Her horse lily stood up and shook our her fur. Lily called to the foals and they trotted off to the woods where a familiar whinny was heard.
"I belong to Secretum, but I love being here. It feels like home." She sighed.
She took the braids out of her hair and combed it with her fingers. It now reached the lower part of her back and it was wavy. She flashed a white smile before she looked through the woods behind him. There were so many wild horses around and yet she only know so few. She trained a small fraction of them but only one of them she trained she kept as a pet, Buster a blood bay stallion. Kat was thinking about asking to be able to keep one more horse, preferrably a mare so Buster and it could breed and she would have something to do. Katrinas eye filled with sorrow and teared up. She blinked and the tears noticably rolled down her face.
"I hope they will grow up to be great horses." She mumbled and wiped a tear away with her shirt sleeve.
Kat bent down and held out her hand for Legacy to sniff, if she wanted to. And she spoke again;
"How would you feel if Legacy died or ran away and you only saw her not very often?" She asked looking back up at him her eyes bordered with tears.

He pursed his lips at the question then shrugged. "I'd be sad I guess. But she's my friend, not my pet. I don't own her, so what right do I have to make her decisions? If she left, then they would be for her own reasons, and obviously it would be in her best interest."
He looked down at Legacy and watched as she sniffed Kat's hand gently before licking it. "She's a normal being, just like me. I can't take away her free will, so I can't be too sad if she suddenly left me. Understand?"
He didn't know who this girl was, or how they were striking up such a random conversation so easily. On the other hand, he hadn't talked to anyone in ages and it was nice to use his voice again.
