Slowly, Slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo gripped the tree trunk with his two hands. He stared up at the branches above with a smirk on his face. He would get it this time. Sure he had failed every other time he had tried, but this time he would get it right. Of course he wouldn't though. He never did. He just wasn't strong enough. Sure Milo loved to climb trees and he did it alot, but he only ever made it to the first branch, but then he'd either fall or climb back down. He just wasn't meant to climb trees. Milo slowly started up.
He found a piece of bark that he cuold grip onto and shimmied up the trunk of the tree. The first branch was above his reach, but he kept going. He would reach it this time. Milo had already tried to climb this very tree and had failed, but this time he'd get it. His red and white cloak was secured on his back and his hood was up, as it usually was. A strong wind came and blew it away from his face, showing his briliant red hair. He didn't give it any mind. Who would really care? When Milo looked up for a handhold again he saw the branch in reach. He smiled and reached for it, but as he reached for it his grip with his other hand came loose.
Milo toppled to the ground and in a split second he hit the ground with a thump. He giggled a little bit. He had been so close that time. He shrugged and got up. He dusted himself off a little bit and then started to walk. The quiet kid hadn't met anybody yet. He would really like it if somebody were to come and introduce themselves to him. He really would like to meet somebody here. He needed somebody to protect him if somehow he made an enemy. He didn't plan on that though. He didn't know how he would make an enemy, but if he did then it wouldn't end well on his part.
Milo then heard his tummy growl and chuckled a little bit. He hadn't eaten in a while, maybe a day or so. He guessed that meant that he would have to go scavenging for berries or something like that. He started to look for a blueberry bush or something along the lines. He was a very skinny kid. His ribs showed through his skin, but now through his cloths, because they were pretty loose. Milo started to walk. His tail sweeping behind him. He kept looking at bushes, searching for the drak purple skin of the berries. Then he saw them. He smiled and ran over to them.
Milo sat down beside the bush and picked on of the berries. He inspected it closly and smiled even more when he confirmed that they were in fact blue berries and not some other poisonous kind instead. He popped the berry in his mouth and pierced its skin with his teeth. The flavor filled his mouth. He grabbed a handful of berries and then wrapped them in a leaf for later. He then ate a few more berries indevidually and stood up. Now was for the question. Where would he sleep for the night?
Unlike most people who would already know where they were sleeping for the night he always figered it out the day before. Milo then frowned. He was a long way from his last den, so now he'd have to find a new one, instead of just reusing the last one. He put on his cloak hood again and started looking around. Sometimes he found a den that only his animal form could fit in. Those were okay. It got a bit awkward being in his animal form the whole time, but he still found those were better than nothing at all.
Milo always feared that some animal bigger than him would come and find him, he was only a kid and his animal was quite small. He was a red panda in case you were wondering. If a bear or wolf came then he would be in huge trouble. Milo wouldn't fight them though, oh no, he'd just run away as fast as he could, probably go hide somewhere. Suddenly a twig snapped, interupting his thoughts. The young boy turned quickly, expecting the worst and getting ready to bolt.

[Holy crap, can't right that much, not even going to try. Redd or Kako, if tribe members aren't allowed here let me know and I'll delete this.] Trick padded along in his snow leopard form. True, it was uncommon to see a snow leopard walking through a forest, much less one that wasn't covered with snow. But he was there, and he was walking, and there sure as hell was no snow. Much to his chagrin.
His unwary foot rested on a twig and his ear flicked as the resounding crack sounded out into the forest. He huffed moodily, unable to sigh in his animal form and swung his head around. Recently he had been stalking the trail of someone, he had been able to tell that it was a boy from the size and indentations in the footprints. Trick believed this boy to be like himself, part human and part beast.
As of yet Trick didn't know what he was going to do when he finally caught up to the boy, and he would catch up. He wasn't sure whether he was doing this for fun, or whether he was going to kill and eat the boy upon discovery, it wasn't anything new to Trick. Lifting his head to sniff the air again he caught the scent of the boy, faintly intermingled with the scent of a red panda.
Licking his jowls hungrily Trick settled into an easy trot, his light, fluffed paws making no movement over the leaf litter. No more twigs lined his path so his approach was silent as he finally neared the area the boy inhabitted.

Slowly, Slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo's eyes darted around trying to arch te sight of fur, or cloths, or something that would replace this feeling of paranoia. He flexed his fists and suddenly he caught a glimpse of white fur. He wasn't sure what it. He went through his mind what animals had white fur. Rabbits, snow leopards, polar bears, and other things. He didn't want to meet the latter two, but if it was just a white rabbit then he wouldn't care. He wondered why a polar bear or a snow leopard would be walking around, but he guessed that either one could be a type of person like him, half animal. His reddish orange eyes narrowed. Had he been tracked?
Milo tried to think what somebody would want with him, but nothing came to mind. He had virtually nothing. Maybe the animal had tracked him because of the berries in his poket. Really wanted to just throw the leaf away now. Mili looked around. This was too much. He started running away, hoping that he wouldn't be chased. If he was called back then fine, but if he was chased then he was in trouble.

(Oh please, your first post makes up for any short posts you ever make, ever. That thing was huge) Trick lifted his head and looked around, he was standing in the clearing where Milo had been just seconds before. He could tell my the tracks that the boy had started running, a low growl sounded deep in his throat, Trick loved a challenge.
Bunching his legs, he leapt into the tree that Milo had been attempting to climb earlier, pulling himself up with ease. Snow Leopards were ambush predators, using their agility in the trees to surprise their prey. Moving along and gaining speed, Trick leapt from the first tree onto the branches of another nearby. And this was how he continued, leaping lightly from tree to tree and chasing the boy.
He was catching up, his long tail flicked to keep him balanced as Trick caught sight of the running boy straight ahead. He still hadn't decided what he was going to do with the boy once caught, but he would be caught, that much he did know.

Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo could hear the shaking branches. Somebody was definatly chasing him and from the trees too. That meant that they were bigger than him. He had to think of a plan. He was being chased, and by somebody who was much more agile, stronger, and faster than him. Milo's mind swirled as he tried to think up a plan. There were only things he could think up: trying to confuse the person, hiding in his animal form, or just try to outrun the person. He kind of just crossed the third one off the list because he doubted he could outrun this person.
Milo was trying to figure out what he was going to do. He could just keep running and hope whoever it was would give up, but that wasn't very likely. Milo would try both one and two of his plans. He suddenly turned around, running the opposite way he had been. He caught a glimps of a snow leopard up in the trees. Milo felt like he was being hunted. See, this was why Milo ate berries and didn't just hunt for food, because he knew if he was in the animals' place he would be terrified and he was. He just hoped that the leopard couldn't turn in trees well, or at all.
Milo was debating what to do next. He wasn't sure if changing his course would help him or hinder him. He really just wanted himself to get away from here. Sure he had wanted to meet somebody, but somebody who wasn't chasing him. Milo then dove into a bush. He sqeezzed his eyes shut and turned into a red panda. He just hoped that he wouldn't be found. Milo held his breath so that there was even less noise to be heard from him and when he did breath it was only little tiny breaths.
Milo was scared. If he was infact being hunted then that meant if he was found he would be killed, he was scared of that, but if he was just being chased then it might only be that the person wanted to scare him. Either way Milo didn't like this person. They freaked him out and their animal form was bigger and more powerful than his. He still wasn't sure if their human form was male or female, or if they were just messing with him or actually hunting him. Milo was curled in the fetal position with his head on his knees. He just wanted to meet somebody nice.

Trick saw the hunted boy turn and change direction. His paws slowed and he was forced into a halt, being unable to change course at such a flying speed. He turned himself around and leapt down to the ground, favoring land now that he was closer to his prey.
When he reached the area around the bush where the boy was hiding he lost the scent, the scent of plants and berries too powerful in the air. Trick however knew that the boy was somewhere close, because he had seen him come into this clearing. Stalking around the area, but never choosing to favor one particular spot, Trick turned back into his human form.
He was tall and lean with subtle muscles in his arms and legs. Flaming, blood red hair hung down messily around his ears as his head swung left and right. He was depending on footprints on the ground now, having giving up on scent.
As he searched he whispered quietly into the area, "Come out, come out, wherever you are, little one. No sense hiding from the Big Bad Wolf. I'll always find you in the end......."

Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo listened closly as footsteps entered the clearing, or rather, pawsteps. They circled the clearing a few times then turned into human feet. This made Milo peek out through the bush and see that the person was a guy and that the guy was both bigger and stronger than he was, but now that he was in human form Milo was no longer afraid of the guy eating him as prey so he changed out of his animal form, he was never too fond of staying in it for too long. Milo noticed that the person was tracking his footprints and whispering something barely audible to Milo. When he finally heard what it was it made him shiver. "Come out, come out, wherever you are, little one. No sense hiding from the Big Bad Wolf. I'll always find you in the end."
Those were the first words spoken between the two and Milo didn't plan on continuing the conversation. He debated what he would do now. He had to think fast because soon enough this person would figuer out that his footprints were leading to the bush. Show no fear. Milo told himself. He held his breath and with that he crawled out of the bush and stood up. He was much, much shorter than the guy, and in no way was he even close to his muscle mass, but he could always act like he was brave. He still wasn't wanting a fight, oh no, not at all.
Milo glared at the guy. His hood was covering most of his face, but Milo could still see where the guy was. "You're not very nice." Milo said simply. He was tense, ready to run again if this guy decided that he wanted a fight. He wasn't sure what he was trying to do here, maybe just trying to get this guy to leave him alone, or trying to get him to be at least a little nicer, or really anything other than chasing him around. Milo's tail flicked absentmindedly. He wasn't planning on anything other than trying to get this guy to be nicer, and running away in case that didn't work.
Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.

Trick heard rustling as the boy emerged and straightened up. Looking around he] grinned when he saw the small, hooded figure near the bush. He laughed as Milo made the statement on his not so nice behaviour.
"My little friend, you aren't very nice either. You made me chase you for so long. That wasn't very considerate now, was it?"
He was standing still and his black eyes were watching Milo, completely empty and void like, sucking everything into his gaze. He made no move towards the boy yet, he was still curious to see what this loner was like.
Trick could tell that Milo was still tense, ready to flee at a moments notice. So he made sure not to push the boy, but was also careful not to back off to much. He was still interested in this loner.

Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo frowned at this guy. Was he really calling him not nice? That was quite rude of him. Milo thought of himself of nice, but maybe he wasn't, maybe he was mean as this person said. Maybe he had been a mean person all his life and just thought of himself as nice. Wow, his mind was compleatly turned around, but he couldn't think about that now. Milo focused back on the guy. He had no intentions on replying to that so he stayed silent as usual. He curled his tail around his waist. You know what, Milo was going to try and get out of this tenseness.
"How'd you get into the tree so quickly?" Milo asked quietly. He was generally curious. He couldn't quite wrap his head around how that guy had gotted into the tree so quickly. He couldn't get into a tree at all, let alone jump from branch to branch as the guy had done in his animal form. Maybe it was his animal form that helped him out with that. That was a possibility. Milo looked at him expectantly. He was expecting an answer. He was just trying to make the conversation more relaxed and less, "I just chased you down as a leopard."
Milo decided that he wasn't in any real danger and that if he were to be attacked then he would be able to dodge it in time. He sat down on the ground, still keeping his eyes on the guy. Milo could ask for his name, but he decided that he would let him ask some questions. Milo wondered what questions he would ask. How did you get here? What are you doing here? Why did you run? What animal are you? There were other questions he could ask, but those were the first ones that came to Milo's mind.
Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.

Trick watched the boy sit, he considered joining him but didn't want to frighten Milo, not just yet anyway. Taking a step back he leaned his back against the broad trunk of a tree, lacing his fingers behind his head as a cushion.
"How?" He chuckled, Trick had nothing better to do and the boy seemed genuinly curious so he decided to help him a little.
Blinking once then grinning he began to speak. "Well I take it you've gathered that I'm a snow leopard by now? Well Snow Leopards use their tails, just like other cats to keep their balance when climbing."
He shrugged slightly. "No tail, no climbing."
Leaning forward he grinned at Milo, his teeth white and slightly sharpened. "You're a red panda right? You smell like one anyway. Shouldn't you know this stuff?"

Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo watched as the guy leaned against the tree. As he started to explain it Milo made a mental note on the stuff. Use his tail for balance. He had never tried that before. Milo looked at the tail wrapped around his waiste. He unwrapped it and twitched it slightly he smiled at the notion that it could help him with climbing. He loved climbing and he loved his tail, using one to make the other better was awesome. Now he just had to work on his strength now. "Shouldn't you know this stuff?"
[/i] The words brought him back to reality. Yes Milo was a red panda, but he was still a kid and he had never been taught how to climb properly. Milo crossed his arms. "Yes I should know this, but I never actualy learned." Milo stated with some hesitation. He wished that somebody had taught him to climb, but he never met his mother, father, or sibblings, so nobody could really teach him. If somebody had taught him then he would probably be an expert on climbing by now. He still liked climbing though. He probably always would. The tension between the two had definatly gone away. In Milo's mind the only thing that would bring it back would be if this guy were to suddenly lunge at him or something.[/center] Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly. Trick sighed heavily and pushed himself off the tree. Walking over to Milo with slow steps, seeming predatory by nature, he stopped in front of the boy. Resting a hand on Milo's head he smiled down at him, showing pointed fangs.
"Well, come on then. You're never going to learn if you don't try. And I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, knowing I left a poor boy out here unable to climb a simple tree.
In truth wether Milo could climb trees or not didn't bother Trick in the slightest. But he was bored and had nothing better to do, he hadn't had much to interest him lately and the boy was definetly intriguing in his own way. Wether it be as a snack or a friend, he wasn't yet sure.

Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.
As the guy walked over to Milo he got ready to run again, and was just about to, but then his hand was placed on Milo's head and he was... Smiling? Milo was kind of confused on what was going on. It was strange. Was he telling Milo to try climbing a tree? Milo laughed a little bit. Milo got himself up. "Wouldn't hurt to try." He said with a toothy grin of his own. Even though the tension was gone Milo was still aware of what this guy was doing and watched his body language for any signs of him getting annoyed or mad. Neither really showed.
With that Milo walked over to a tree. He put his hands on his hips and looked up at the branches. The first one was relitivly close to they ground, but still out of Milo's reach right now. Milo searched for his first hold on the trunk and found a little knot it it. He grabbed hold of it and pulled himself up, then he searched for his next hold and shimmied up, using the same technique as before, but this time making sure to use his tail for balance. Before he knew it the branch was in his reach. With a simple dart of his hand Milo was hanging from the branch giggling.
He just kind of hung there for a second, but then he swung himself up onto the branch. Milo looked down at the guy with a huge smile on his face. He had actually gotten up here and in one of his fastest times. Even though it was only the first branch of the tree and was relitively close to the ground he was still pround of himself. Then another gust of wind came. It swayed the branch that Milo was on and sice he had been leaning to one side slightly he tipped over the side and landed on the groung with a thump.
Milo couldn't help but giggle. He had gotten far enough for him to be happy with his new technique. He didn't care if he was laughed at, he found it pretty funny himself. He always found it funny when he fell out of a tree, reason being he never really hurt himself, reason being he never got very far up in the tree. If he ever got farther up in the tree then it probably wouldn't be as funny, but for now it was alright.
Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.

Trick watched carefully as Milo began to climb, he considered helping the boy find a hold on the trunk but decided against it. He was going to let Milo try by himself first.
He nodded with satisfaction as Milo began to climb, ready to move if it looked like he was going to fall and hurt himself.
As Milo laughed and he slid of the branch Trick quickly debated on whether to catch him or not. But decided that by now, the boy had to be used to falling, and while learning it was going to happen a lot more.
He shook his head as Milo sat up and began giggling at himself. With a small sigh Trick allowed himself a smile and began to laugh himself.
"It was good for a first try little one, you'll get better with practice."

Slowly, slowly, Ever so slowly.
Milo heard the guy laughing too. That was good, at least the guy wasn't one of those people who had absolutely no sense of humor, those people were annoying. Always such a bummer in Milo's eyes. He would rather meet somebody mean than somebody with no sense of humor. Milo stood up as he started talking. Milo dusted himself and smiled up at the older guy. "I bet you I will!" Milo said with pride. He was going to become an awesome treeclimber, just like his animal form should be.
Milo stuck out his hand, meaning for a handshake. "I'm Milo." He told the guy, expecting for a name in return. By telling the guy his name Milo was basically telling him that he was forgiving him for chasing him. Milo then remembered the berries in his pocket. Maybe he could offer Trick some of those, as long as he wasn't ellergic or something.
