Tanner walked throughout the Silver Forest, his pale frame nearly glowing in the night. He smiled to himself though, which was odd. Why was he smiling? He had learned how to shift forms without needing to dwell on hurtful memories. His smile grew wider at the thought, he and Victoria had had some fun together the past couple of days. He wondered where she was now? Maybe he'd ask why she appointed him deputy.

As Tanner walked through the darkening forest, he listened closely. Elk always walked through the forest at this time of night so he had brought his bow and arrow along with his hunting knife he had made himself. A one of a kind. He walked quietly and before long, managed to step on a sharp rock.

He swore to himself and took a seat on a fallen tree, rubbing the sore spot, it's silvery birch bark giving off a glow. He brushed his auburn hair from his eyes as he looked at it. It wasn't bleeding but it was a scrap. So he wouldn't need to worry about it.

He took a sharp inhale as he heard a noise. He quickly got up and drew his bow with an arrow in place in seconds, pointing it in front of him, he turned around, listening close.

"Who's there?"

Melany always took walks as a panther or a human. Her paws padded on the soft grass. She looked up at the sun, its beams of light burned her fur. She padded deeper in the green forest. She heard all types of different sounds. Birds humming on branches and more. Today was a beautiful day.
Melany didn't have that much freinds. She would like to have a freind. A sigh came out of her mouth. But then she saw someone else walking in the woods. She observed him very carefully. She rustled some leaves. He turned with a bow. She was really scared. She hopped behind a tree. Turning back into a human, she touched the trunk of the tree. Her eye peaked from behind.

Tanner turned swiftly to watch her even as she hid behind the tree, he narrowed his eyes and let out a hiss that sounded exactly like his jaguar form. Who was this female? He had never seen her. He narrowed his eyes and ducked, stepping farther away from her with his bow still pulled.

"Who are you?" He asked again.

He didn't like being watched, especially by someone he didn't know. She looked scared but there was no telling what she could do. And she certainly didn't look like a Crudelis, they were ugly things. Maybe she was a Mentis? He took one last step back and winced, his sore foot sending a shock of pain up his leg.

[Melany_Noah]

Melany took a step forward so she could be right next to the tree. "I'm not going to bite."She said. But I can if you want me too she thought in her head. Her green eye met his. She took another step forward. Her black panther tail swinging from side to side. She stood there a little way from him. It felt awkward. "I'm sorry for spying on you."She said.

Tanner looked her over, was she avoiding his question? He watched her closely and lowered his bow, letting the string go limp as he put the arrow in it's case and strapped the bow to his back. He kept the knife unstrapped though, just in case she attacked him.

"Tanner, Deputy of Secretum. Who are you?" He asked her for a third time. He wouldn't apologize for pulling a bow on her if he didn't know who she was or why she had been spying on him. He gazed over her and watched her every movement, looking for a sign of hostility.

Tanner pursed his lips slightly "I'm sorry for being hostile." he finally apologized after a long period of silence. He motioned to his arm that was tightly wrapped in a bloody bandage "Crudelis have been attacking us. You can't seem to trust anyone." he added, hinting towards why he needed to be hostile.

[Melany_Noah]

Melany looked at the scarlet red blood soaking the bandage. "I'm Melany, Warrior of Secretum."She said with a very small smile. "Oh and that's okay." She said. She rubbed her arm with her hand not knowing what to say. "So do you know how to change?"She said looking at her feet. It felt cool being a panther. She liked going in the night time because she could camouflage more better.

Tanner smiled at her "I'm so sorry." he sighed and ran a hand through his hair. The auburn-haired deputy was the quiet type and was known to be hostile with people he didn't know if he didn't have Victoria with him. He looked at her and nodded "I do." he answered simply.

He hadn't known for awhile but Victoria had taught him how. He owed a lot to the Leader. Throught out his life, she'd taught him a lot and maybe had saved his life once or twice. Just little things. Nothing big.

He smiled at the thought and looked back up at Melany "Why do you ask?" he cocked his head slightly.

[Melany_Noah]

"Oh I was just asking."Melany said. She stared at him for a while. Then she shook her head and looked around. "So...."She said not knowing what to say. Usually shes bad at choosing things to talk about or do. Sometimes she's talkative and sometimes she's really shy. "So what do you do for fun?"She asked. She was bored most of the times, that's why she was taking a walk.

Tanner smiled to himself, this day was weird. He had found out how to shift but was also feeling talkative. A rare thing for him. He looked her over and shrugged "I usually make weapons, hunt or just walk around." he told her, letting out a long sigh.

He didn't have the most exciting life.

He looked at the ground and kicked a rock before looking back up at Melony "What do you do?" he asked her with a smirk "You spare at all?" he asked her.

[Melany_Noah]

"Well...."Melony had to think about this. "Well nothing really."She said shifting her wait back and forth. She looked at him and then in the sky. She usually was really bored. Getting tired of standing, she walked over to a tree. She leaned on the tree.

Tanner watched her and ran a hand through his hair. This was getting awkward really fast. He looked around and sat on the fallen tree he had been resting on.

"We could go hunt a little? What part animal are you?" he asked her, looking over at her with a generous smile.

"Sure. I'm part panther."Melany said with a small smile. "See my tail."She said while pointing to he rear part. She quickly transformed into a panther. She always liked being a panther, it was cool. She waited for Tanner to shape shift into his animal.

Tanner smiled at her tail and shrugged, looking back up at her "You never know." he said. He had mistaken a wolf for a shaggy lion once! Oh boy, what a mistake that was. He sighed and shifted into his Jaguar form.

He shook his pelt once he was fully shifted. The bow and arrow were still strapped to him, accustom to the change.

He dipped his head to her.

Melany let Tanner lead the way since ne was the duputy. She smelt the air to smell prey. She picked her pips it felt like she never ate for days. She then looked back at Tanner.

OOC: I live in Illinois, a long way from Hawaii c:

Tanner could just smell the elk herd a few meters away. He looked at her "There are Elk deeper in the forest, i'm sure we could catch up to them before they take leave and get one of the younger." he told her and started creeping towards that way.

Before long, he was ducked down and stalking, the elk stench was strong around them. He looked back at Melany to make sure she was following.
