I think that Life's to short for this..

Kako was given his leader title about a month ago.
He knew, like everyone else, that he wasn't officially a leader yet.
Not until he got his 12 blessings from the 12 main Gods.
So he set out that morning, traveling through Mentis territory in order to reach the temple.
He didn't come across any bad encounters with the Tribe, though, Mentis hardly had enough people to possibly challenge him.
In the blistering heat, Kako found himself sweating through his shirt.
He paused, about a mile away from the temple.
Taking off his shirt and throwing it into a tree, he'd retrieve it later.
He wiped his sweat away, letting out an exasperated breath.
He glanced back, Tamari behind him.
To him, she looked warn down, too.
"It's about a mile from here, it better be worth it.
I guess it will be, I get my blessings, you get to meet the gods of Olympus."
Kako shook his head off, like a dog.
He continued walking, but slower.
He reached backwards, hoping she would take his hand.
He smiled back at her when he offered it to her.

She smiled back at Kako and shyly took his hand, stepping up to walk beside him.
True she was as hot as he was, but she couldn't cool herself down by stripping like he had.
Though he'd probably like it if I did.
The thought spun around her head and she quickly blushed.
Looking over at him he smiled brightly, very excited about the trip.
"I've never had a proper chance to meet the Gods before! I hope hey don't hate me."
The fear of being rejected by the Gods had been in her mind since she had first become a healer, but her mood was still positive and having Kako with her helped with her confidence. |

Kako shrugged, his Golden eyes showing no particular emotion.
"What's there to hate about you?"
If anything, the Gods wouldn't bless Kako.
After all, his priest of a father probably told Zeus the things Kako said about him..
Or... something like that.
Kako had never been religious, especially for having a father like his.
He hardly knew anything of Olympus except the 12 Gods and their powers..
... er... elements?
Regardless, he would find out when they got there.
"It'll Be fun, Mari.
Unique.
Something a lot of people never get to do.
We're the lucky ones."
He winked at her, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

She beamed happily, her emotions lightning up her whole face.
You're right, we are really lucky aren't we?
She could sense darker thoughts, such as worry in Kako's mind but didn't know what she could say to him. Instead she simply squeezed his hand back encouragingly, hoping it would translate across the fact that she would stand by him and help if he needed her when meeting the Gods. |

Kako's eyes widened, in the distance he saw it.
The most gigantic building anyone would ever lay eyes on.
It was gold, lined with 12 perfect statutes of each Olympic God.
Some of the minor Gods were spread out in small statue form, as well.
The golden color of the Temple matched Kako's eyes.
He felt his heart quickening.
He looked at Tamari, smiling from cheek to cheek.
"Oh my Gods, this is going to be amazing."
Kako started running, letting go of Tamari's hand to turn into a wolf.
When he phased he immediately grew hotter in his fur, but he didn't care.
He bunched his leg muscles and sprang into a full-on sprint.

She laughed at his excitement, glad to see him happy again.
Waving after him she called,
"Don't get lost! I'm coming!"
Speeding after him she turned to a hawk and shot off through the sky, trying to catch up. |

Kako felt like he was racing the wind.
It wasn't until Tamari began to fly did he realize that he kind of was.
He pushed harder, a playful twinkle in his eyes.
Looking up at Tamari to show his little race-challenge.
His paws pounded hard, now they were only minutes away from the temple.
Kako felt his heart soaring.

Tamari twitched her head and glanced down at Kako, she saw the challenge in his eyes.
Flapping her broad wings once she moved up and caught a warm updrafting current of air.
Tilting her body to match the curve, Tamari rode and wind. Her large shadow drew even with Kako so that she was flying directly above and he was in the darkness of her shadow. |

Kako was relieved when he felt shade.
Wait.
Shade?
He looked up, Tamari above him.
His wolf form chuckled, her speed was so intense!
Withtin 2 minutes, they had arrived at the entrance.
Kako switched to human form and found himself, surprisingly, less sweaty.
He reached out his arm so Tamari could perch on it, then easily change back.
Notes: I hope they have clothes on when they change back... I never really thought about it...

Tamari fluttered her wings a little as she descended
Lighting down on Kako's offered arm, she made sure not to dig her talons into him.
Quickly she leapt off again and, while in midair, changed her form.
She landed beside Kako as a human.
Turning to look at him she smiled brightly.

Kako nodded, walking up the stairs while holding her hand again.
When he reached the top he pulled her into a hug.
"No matter what happens in here, remember how much I care about you, okay?"
He kissed her forehead gently before shoving a shoulder on the golden doors.
As they slowly creeped open Kako clenched his teeth, his nerves on edge.

Although not liking his foreboding use of words,
Tamari allowed herself to be kissed by him then turned as the golden doors swung open.
As she entered, she made sure to stay safely behind Kako,
where she knew he would protect her
if anything bad happened. |

Inside the temple the floor was paved with white marble.
It follow a direct path toward a circle centered inside everything.
Around the outside of this circle where 12 silver platforms.
Each platform had a symbol on it.
For Zeus: Lighting
For Poseidon: A wave
For Hades: A skull
For Hermes: Winged shoesv
For Hera: An owl
For Athena: A brain
For Apollo: Music notes
For Ares: A war cart
For Hestia: A Hearth
For Aphrodite: A heart
For Artemis: A wild doe
For Hephestus: A dancing flame
Kako gawked.
He couldn't avert his eyes.
The room, made entirely of precious metals, was basically radiating Godly power.
He almost sunk to his knees at the entrance, but he fought it.
Instead, he held Tamari's hand strong, walking toward the circle with her.

She tightened her grip on Kako's hand
She was shaking but couldn't tell wether it was wonder, fear or both
The temple was incredible.
It radiated a Godly power that she found difficult to stand against.
Its very prescence was demanding and dominant. It intimidated her a little |

Kako felt himself being pulled toward the center of the circle.
He couldn't tell if Tamari felt it, too, or if it was simply him that was pulling her.
When he reached bull's eye he fell to his knees instantly.
The doors, left open behind him, slammed shut.
He was left totally in the dark, Tamari by his side.
His breath was the only thing he could hear, until the pace of his heart became loud and evident.
